January 23rd is our one hundredth day of school. We decided to celebrate with ice cream sundaes. There will be a signup sheet to what topping you want to bring. Our boys and girls have been so excited counting down the days. They are also encouraged to bring something small to count on our 1-100 board and perhaps can glue them to a board. Do not forget “Take your parent to school night” on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is probably one of the most important education nights as far as helping your child learn to read.
Holiday celebration – I am sure your calendars are already marked for Sunday, November 20th for our big family feast and musical at the Shawnee Civic Center at 4:00 p.m. The sign up sheet for the potluck dinner will be going out to the classrooms next week along with a volunteer sign up sheet. This is our biggest event of the year. Plan on inviting grandmas, grandpas, and friends.
Veterans Day - Do you have a grandpa or friend who is a veteran that would like to come and talk with us on Friday?
Thank you for keeping up with your child’s clothes in their cubbies. We do lots of water work and other things that might call for a change during the day. When making sure there are two sets of clothes do not forget underwear and socks.
