Monday- Introduction of the letter Cc. Sandpaper letter Cc and the Cc object box. The 100th Day of School! All week long we will be counting to 100. We will be looking look at our 100 day projects. Please bring the projects in anytime this week.
Tuesday- We will walk and count on 100 feet around the classroom. We will also read “Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th Day of Kindergarten” by Joseph Slate.
Wednesday- We will have a lesson on cutting out a snowflake and cut out 100 snowflakes and hang them around the room so it will look like a snowstorm.
Thursday- Show and Tell! Please have your child bring something that starts with the letter Cc.

We will be having our Valentine Party on Tuesday Feb. 14. We will decorate white bags in class for their Valentines so you just need to bring in about 30 Valentines with just your child’s name on it.

Character trait this week is humility
Monday- Review of the letters Ff, Aa, Hh, and Nn. We will also talk about the most humble man of all- Jesus!
Tuesday- We will talk about Easter and why we celebrate the holiday.
Wednesday- We will be dying Easter eggs and having an Easter egg hunt! Please have your child bring 4 hard-boiled eggs to be dyed at school. Also if anyone would like to donate some plastic eggs or candy to fill the eggs it would be highly appreciated.
Thursday-Yoga! Show and Tell! Please bring something from home that starts with the letter Ff, Aa, Hh, or Nn.
Friday- NO SCHOOL! GOOD FRIDAY!

Character trait this week is benevolent
Monday- Review of the letters Ss, Mm, Bb, and Tt. We also will talk about botany.
Tuesday- We will work on cleaning up our back deck and plant our own tomato plants.
Wednesday- We will talk about spring and listen to Vivaldi’s Spring and we will paint a spring painting with watercolors.
Thursday-Yoga! Show and Tell! Please bring something from home that starts with the letter Ss, Mm, Bb, and Tt. Only one time per week either Thursday or Friday please. We will continue with our gardening.
Friday- Music Class! Show and Tell!
Please have your child keep their toys at home unless the toy is for show and tell or rest time. We do not want anything to get lost or broken.

Dear Parents:
This is what children will learn in their Spanish class on Wednesday. At circle time students will review greeting and personal information in a singing manner. Material covered in previous classes will be reviewed. A song will be taught. New material will be introduced.
The students will be introduced to the letter “E” sound as well as vocabulary starting with the letter “E”.

Virtue - Peaceful
Monday
Review of the letters q, y, z and u. Look at our map for states with these letters in them. Mystery bag with q, y, z and u items! What does peaceful mean? Read the book “Our Peaceful Classroom”.
Tuesday
Play the ‘silent’ game. Fine tune our ears for listening. Talk about flowering bushes and trees. Make a forsythia bush.
Music & Movement with Mr. Michael.
Wednesday
Use our paints to review letters. Go outdoors to listen to nature while we are silent!
Attn: Read book “Spring Time”.

Thursday
Show-n-Tell for items or pictures with q, y, z and u in them.
If windy we will take our kite out into the field to fly.
Friday
Review the alphabet with emphasis on our letters of the week. Play what is missing with letter objects.

Monday- Review of the letters Qq, Zz, Yy, and Uu
Tuesday- We will talk about ladybugs and read the story, The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. Music & Movement class with Mr. Michael for those enrolled.
Wednesday- We will read Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin and talk about worms. We will also start our own worm farm. Spanish immersion class with Ms. Olga.
Thursday-Yoga! Show and Tell! Please bring something from home that starts with the letter Qq, Zz, Yy, and Uu. Only once per week please. We will also discuss some other insects.
Friday- Music Class! Show and Tell!
Please have your child keep their toys at home unless the toy is for show and tell or rest time. Students are taking the toys out during work time.

Character trait of the week - Uniqueness
Monday
Introduce the letter ‘u’ and introduce the mystery bag with ‘u’ items. Umbrella work on the shelf. Weather permitting we will explore outside and look ‘under’ rocks. Presentation of a rock and different bugs underneath it. Introducing matching bug work on the shelf.
Tuesday
Introduce where North America is on the globe. View our map for states that begin with ‘u’.

Wednesday
Art work with paints to practice strokes. Discuss the spring season. Spanish immersion class with Ms. Olga.
Thursday

Character trait this week is understanding
Monday- Introduction to the letter Uu – Sandpaper letter Uu, Objects with the letter Uu, sewing the letter Uu, and forming the letter Uu with play dough. We will also read the ugly duckling.
Tuesday- We will talk about parts of a bird and make binoculars so we can start some bird watching. Music & Movement class with Mr. Michael for those enrolled.
Wednesday- We will try to identify birds by their appearance and their call. Spanish immersion class with Ms. Olga.
Thursday-Yoga! We will try to stay in unison during our yoga practice. Show and Tell! Please bring something from home that starts with the letter Uu. Only one item per week please.
Friday- Music Class! Show and Tell! We will play some friendly April Fool’s Day jokes.

We will also talk about what zoologists do. Tuesday- We will go on a nature walk and look for things that are non-living and living. Music & Movement class with Mr. Michael for those enrolled. Wednesday- We will talk about trees- parts of a tree, and the benefits of trees. Spanish immersion class with Ms. Olga. Thursday-Yoga! Show and Tell! Please bring something from home that starts with the letter Zz. Only once per week please. We will also talk about the concept of zero. Friday- Music Class! Show and Tell! We will also talk about what a zither is.
