All of us at Christots hope that 2008 has started off on the most positive note! We want to extend our thanks for all of your kind Christmas wishes and for the wonderful gifts you bestowed upon us, especially the gift of your support and involvement in your child’s growth and learning here!

With your support we have made the new Nature Center a reality, and with your continued involvement we hope to expand the programs and services we can offer to your children in 2008. We will keep you apprised of all of the upcoming events, as well as of all the plans as we move ahead with our vision for Christots.

Plans are underway for our Summer Camp and our Summer School. Summer Camp will include horseback riding, nature studies, care of small animals, fishing, field trips to museums, and art classes, as well as swimming lessons for students in Kindergarten or older. Children in Summer School will have access to the Summer Camp activities, as well as an academic clinic for children in Kindergarten through Grade 3 and Grades 4 and 5. Reading and Mathematics, Suzuki violin lessons, ballet classes and Montessori lessons will be part of the program. If you have not already signed up, please contact the office to enroll.

Please note that Christots will be closed on January 21st, 2008 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. At 6:30PM, on the evening of January 28th, we will have a “Parent/Child Education Night” with a presentation on Practical Life in Montessori education, as well as an explanation of the rationale behind it. We look forward to your presence!
