Time has flown by for all of us, but with the “little ones” the passage of time is even more telling! It is amazing to note that with the coming of spring the children have grown so much!
Unfortunately, the last month has brought with it the usual illness! This has caused us to postpone the “official” opening of the Nature Center. Along with that, the “Pancake Breakfast” has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 29th. It will begin at 8:30AM, and we look forward to having all of you attend.
The “Pancake Breakfast” will be accompanied by a tour of the Nature Center, an animal petting area, items for auction and sale, and a “needs” tree decorated with the names of items needed to round out the Nature Center. Hopefully we will be able to raise money and receive donations of items to increase the activities and learning experiences the children can have at the Nature Center.
The ending date of the “Pastry Fundraiser” has been extended until this Friday, March 7th. Thank you for your participation in this!
Christots does not have a spring break; the only day that will be off will be March 21st, Good Friday. If you have other children whose schools are on spring break during this week, please call the office if you wish to have them attend Christots for those days. We have lots of fun things planned.
“Parent Education Evening” will be held on Tuesday, March 11th, beginning at 6:30PM; the topic will be language acquisition.
We will have our Spring Program on the evening of Monday, May 5th, with the children performing at the Theological Seminary. This is the same place where we had the Thanksgiving Dinner. (go here for a clip of last year's program)
If you have not sent in the paperwork for the summer session, or if you have friends who might be interested in having their children attend, please contact the office as soon as possible. As you know from our flyers, there will be many exciting activities and learning experiences for the children during that time!
Finally, the state of Kansas is willing to give us a grant of $2,000 to use as “seed money” for the Nature Center, but a requirement is to have parent involvement!!! If you are interested, please call Ms. Theresa! This includes the Toddler Program as well! This will also assist us in attaining our “Arbor Certification.” We look forward to having a wonderful month of growth… fitting for the start of spring. Please remember that you are always welcome to come and visit Christots to see the activities and learning experiences that happen here everyday! Sincerely, Ms. Theresa |
