Dear Parents,

This is a note to let you all know that we have not forgotten about you. It has been a very busy summer. We are waiting on a couple of call backs for our calendar schedules, so they should be out next week, along with school supply lists. We will not need everything on your supply list until after the holiday.

From August 16th, until after Labor Day, we will be focusing on classroom rules and setting our perimeters for a smooth transition into our academic school year. This year we have 10 kindergartners in attendance. Some are half day and some are full day. We have ordered our pre-K and kindergarten curriculum already. As a reminder, please note that the $75 curriculum is due by August 15th.

We have hired an elementary teacher who will be doing her Montessori internship with us. She will be working from 11:00 to 6:00 p.m. Ms. Marcie will be starting August 1st to get orientated before school actually starts. Ms. Anne will be here until then. We send our blessings with her as we know you all do too. She will really be missed We are looking forward to Ms Lindsy returning next Wednesday and Ms. Noeline the following week.

Please mark your calendars for the following appointments: If your last name begins with A-L, please stop by the sunroom to check your child’s file on Thursday, August 3rd. If your name begins with K-Z, please stop by on Friday, August 4th. We will be available until 6:00 pm. This is for all parents. We have to make sure all of your child’s papers are up to date for our annual health department inspection. Our curriculum should have arrived by then so that you can go over it , if you’d like to.

Lastly, as many of you know, we are doing an expansion to the school and have been very busy and will be busier yet, so we want to put together a parent committee to work with the teachers on class parties, fundraisers, ideas to implement in our new program and building project.
